Jay encourages us all to develop our own style - take tips from everywhere you can and blend them into a technique that makes you confident - when all else fails this will work for you.? Jigging works well for inactive fish - but you must cover a lot of water and you have to get the jig in the face of the bass to be successful.? Jay uses both superline and monofilament for differnet situations:

Jig Modifications

Jay may trim the skirt of a jig based on the type of water he's fishing for example:

  • cold or muddy water - long skirt flares slowly on the fall or hop
  • other conditions - shorten the skirt to the tip of the hook in some cases

Always use a Trailer

Jay uses a number of trailers based on conditions
