Rapala buys US fishing equipment company Luhr Jensen PDF

Rapala Oyj said it has finalised the acquisition of US company Luhr Jensen & Sons Inc, which manufactures fishing lures and accessories. The value of the deal was not disclosed, but Rapala said the payment consists of cash and newly issued shares of Rapala. The payment in shares will take place after one year.

'This acquisition is part of Rapala's strategy for profitable growth,' it said in a statement.

Rapala has been active in acquisitions lately. In the past couple of weeks it has bought three companies, including Finnish knife maker Marttiini and ski maker Peltonen, as well as Hungarian distribution company Eurohold.
