Salmon Fishing - 09/18/04 PDF
Greg Houtteman

Fishing continues to be good out of Ludington, MI with four-year old Kings still holding in deeper water and silver fish still being taken in the mix.? We had a shortened day and could only fish for a couple of hours but we manged to go 4 for 5 with a nice 15 lbs. King.

We fished north of the the Big Sable light from the 03s to the 06s just south of the LRBOI net.? Fish were taken on a little bit of everything but the 210 degree troll was the only productive direction.?

Fish were taken in about 130 feet of water:

  • Blue Glow Sea Sick Frog down 85 feet
  • Hammered Yellowtail down 78 feet
  • White/Blue Spin Doctor/blue fly mono SlideDiver 125' back
  • Blue Easter Egg on a free slider approx 50 feet
