Chinook salmon have been hitting well out of Sturgeon Bay, Algoma, Kewaunee, Two Rivers and Sheboygan. The ports of Milwaukee and Port Washington have been seeing good coho action, along with some nice rainbows.

The lake trout action has been good out of Two Rivers. Dodger-and-fly combinations have been very productive, with some spoon action.

Muskies are also turning on the fall feeding patterns. with some exceptional fish being caught while night fishing.

Northern pike are biting, and anglers are focusing on weed beds with deep edges near shallow water. Weedless spoons and spinners have been very productive.

Walleye fishing on Green Bay continues to put 28-inch-plus fish in anglers' live wells. Crawler harnesses trolled behind planer boards have been the best presentation.

Bass fishing has been good. There has been exceptional top-water action for smallmouth bass being reported.

Perch action has been good on Green Bay and Lake Winnebago when anglers can locate the fish. Using minnows for bait seems to help catch the larger perch. Crawlers and worms work well, but the fish seem to run smaller.

Fall anglers are invited to register their trophy catches through Saturday, when the contest ends.
